the reproductive system
Just like Livescience.com says, the purpose of the reproductive system is to create a new life. The human reproductive system consists of sex cells (gametes) and hormones. For a male, the reproductive system include the testes (where the sperm is produced) and the penis (where the sperm is released). As for females, there are the ovaries (where the egg is produced), fallopian tubes (tube in which the egg travels), the uterus and the vagina (where the penis enters to release sperm). Once a male's sperm forms with the female's egg, the egg becomes fertilized and turns into an embryo!

hiv effect on the reproDUCTIVE SYSTEM
As mentioned previously in the Intro, HIV can affect the reproductive system by the mother passing on the HIV virus during childbirth. Although HIV or AIDS is not specifically genetic, the mixture of inner fluids of the infected mother and the child could make it possible for the baby to receive HIV. In addition, even after childbirth, HIV can be passed from the mother to the child through breast milk, due to the fact that breast milk contains HIV. Therefore, the mothers should be careful not to pass the virus to their children if they are HIV positive!

Other than childbirth, we know that HIV affects the reproductive system because it can be sexually transmitted, as explained in the Intro. Unsafe sex can transmit HIV from the infected to the partner, as semen and eggs are known to contain the second biggest amount of HIV after blood! So be careful not to transmit and be transmitted HIV!!
As mentioned on the endocrine system page, HIV can regulate the sex hormones which may cause both male and female to become infertile. Infertility means that you can't have babies, thus it critically affects the reproductive system!
